Landfill Leachate Treatment Process
The composition of landfill leach is generally more complex than that of urban sewage, with high organic matter content and ammonia nitrogen content. The water quality and quantity change greatly, which poses a threat to the surface water and groundwater around the landfill.
In recent years, with the development of new water treatment methods and technologies, the use of electrolysis method can be further advanced treatment of waste seepage. Under certain current density and conditions, the removal rate of COD, ammonia nitrogen and chromaticity can achieve a better effect.
Selection of electrode materials for the treatment of landfill leachate by electrocatalytic oxidation
1. When treating this kind of wastewater, the electrode materials with good electrocatalytic activity and corrosion resistance such as titanium coated oxide anode are suitable;
2. For the organic compounds in landfill leach that are difficult to degrade, mixed oxides of multiple precious metals and cheap metals are mixed to make the substrate and coating have strong bonding strength, high electrocatalytic activity, strong corrosion resistance, and can withstand large current density.
