1. How are titanium anodes classified?
Based on gases evolved by electrochemical reaction, insoluble anodes could be classified into chlorine evolution anodes, oxygen evolution anodes and chlorine-oxygen evolution anodes. Ru series oxide coating titanium anodes belong to chlorine evolution anodes, and Ir series mixed oxide coating titanium anodes belong to oxygen evolution anodes. There is also a kind of platinum plating titanium anodes, also known as Pt-Ti electrodes, Pt electrodes or platinum plating anodes. With titanium as base material, its surface is plated with a layer of Pt series precious metal and it could be used both in environment of oxygen evolution and chlorine evolution.
2. Features of titanium anodes
Titanium anodes, usually known as DSA (Dimensionally Stable Anode) or DSE (Dimensionally Stable Electrode), are anodes in ti-based metallic oxide coating. They have good electrical conductivity, minor change of polar distance, strong corrosion resistance, excellent mechanical strength and processability, long lifespan, low cost and excellent electro-catalytic property for electrode reaction.
3. Application of titanium anodes
